Inspiring young ones…

Usha(11years) and Manisha(12years) were known to us as pure but naughty daughters of Geetaben Vitthalbhai (One of the Paryavaran Mitra Women). We had always seen them pestering their mother for chocolates or sweets like any other kids of their age.
Sadly, two days before Geetaben met with an accident and got 10 stitches in her legs leaving her completely bed-ridden for couple of weeks.
Today, when we were sitting in Piyar(our main waste collection facility), we saw the two girls somehow bringing 20-odd kgs of recyclables to sell which everyday her mother used to do. When they sat on chair for receiving money and a cup of milk, Manisha’s flour laden hands clearly said that she just came out of kitchen making chapatis for her family. She herself shared the hardships she is facing as her mother is unwell. Moreover, once the transaction was complete, she received Rs.270. She with immense maturity returned Rs.100 as loan repayment and also gave Rs.10 to her younger sister for buying sweets.
This all happened in a period 5-mins and left us absolutely speechless. We feel so privileged to serve these inspiring souls towards a better respectful future.
