Holistic is the word that comes to mind when we revisit the activities we did in the last week.
At one end to enhance the income of the sisters, we had an orientation session on e-waste conducted by the team of Urmul & Karo Sambhav. They shared about the basics of e-waste, what to collect, how to examine the real worth etc. It was an altogether new learning for the core team. Hopefully, it will add some extra income for sisters as they would now be able to collect & sell e-waste as well.
On health aspect, we organised a dental camp at Manav Mitra for the women wherein 35 sisters were examined. The camp started with a much needed dental awareness session.
As we are growing as an organisation, keeping the team motivated and pure is also an important task. So, after getting medical insurance for the team done, we had an awareness session on life insurance by LIC team.
At the same time, keeping scale & expansion in perspective for the greater good, our team had been visiting new institutions for different collaborations. We are happy to share that AMUL has agreed to do a pilot with us on waste management from their outlets.
Blessing & support is one constant need for any life-cycle be it individual or organisational. We were simply humbled by the presence of well-known development professional & my senior from IRMA Mr. Apoorva Ojha (CEO – AKRSP) and his team who came to Manav Sadhna to witness our work. It was a huge encouragement for the whole team.
All in all, this journey has been such a blessing.
