Back to work….

After a slowdown of nearly a month due to Diwali, we are happy to be back on our service endeavours.
This fortnight had series of well-planned activities for different stakeholders giving a holistic experience to all of us. At one end, we had an eye camp for sisters of Sabarmati community where 250+ sisters were examined and given glasses. This event was organised with the support of Gramshree, our sister organisation. On the other hand, we had an insightful session on domestic violence and related issues focusing on the ways to protect ourselves from becoming a victim. The session was envisioned and well-coordinated by Sushmaben from FICCI. On awareness front at student level, it was students of Riverside School who were taken to PET bottles recycling facility. They had good time learning the whole cycle of generation of waste to its recycling in context of water bottles only. Thanks to Narendrabhai, owner of the recycling plant, for humbly explaining the whole process to our young enthusiastic students.
So, all in all it was a good fortnight for us where we tried encompassing activities covering different aspect of the model.
