She is one of the 40,000 incredible Paryavaran Mitras who does rag-picking as their only source of livelihood. She is a part of our family since we started back in 2014. Since, then she had been coming everyday for selling her collected recyclables. It went unnoticed that she never counts the money we gave to her. Few days back we realized she actually never did. We asked her and we came to know she is absolutely illiterate to count the money. But then came the inspiring revelation.
She said she has blind faith in the selfless work Manav Sadhna had been doing for last almost three decades. Therefore, she is always sure that the money she receives is the best possible price for her collection. Therefore, she is never accompanied by her husband or daughters to check whether the amount is correct or not. This simple statement was like a trophy to our team. This trust, this hope and this sharing of feelings is what we aim for.
Both her daughters come to our center for education. Being a struggling family, her both daughters are also adopted by us ensuring continuous good quality education.
