Yet another satisfying week for Paryavaran Mitra team. This week was specially inspiring because we received love and support from unexpected stakeholders thereby motivating us to an extra mile.
The week started with students from Riverside coming to Piyar (Our waste collection center) and actually working with our sisters. Vision was to get a feel of the efforts which our sisters put in everyday to keep our city clean and green. Similarly, we also shared about their work in Mahatma Gandhi International School and St.Kabir. Students were super excited to contribute in bringing the change in our society. Students from St. Kabir made dust-bins to gift it on coming Independence Day to spread awareness under Anti-Littering Campaign.
Due to the efforts of Kishanbhai(our Manav Sadhna family member from TCS), our sisters got an opportunity to share their journey with the team of TCS. Needless to say, it was a moment of pride for our sisters as well as for us. We could see the spark of confidence and happiness in their eyes.
Moreover, our friend Ashmitaben from Navgujaratsamay, a local newspaper, wrote a wonderful article about Paryavaran Mitra, the sisters’ hardship & their phenomenal contribution towards Greener and Cleaner city.

High point of the week was the new initiative of Municipality wherein now they have started coming to our slum communities and collect segregated wastes from each household. It is definitely a fulfilling sight to see someone coming to the innermost underdeveloped areas to assure that our city is Clean.
