Rakshabandhan Gift for PMs

What a nice way to wish Rakshabandhan (a festival of strong bond and love between sister and brother) to our Paryavaran Mitras (rag-picking women).
Due to continuous rain, PMs were not able to go for waste collection. Moreover, whatever waste they collected was wet thereby minimizing its monetary worth. So, they were facing acute problems in basic survival.
Being closely associated with them, we very humbly distributed basic groceries of worth Rs.50,000 amongst the 100-women at the two different centers. The event took place at RUPA Paryavaran Mitra sorting Center. It will enable them to feed their family nearly for a fortnight.
If the situation doesn’t improve, we might as well be doing 2nd round of the grocery distribution very soon.
