Last Friday, students from Riverside school joined our sisters for rag-picking session early morning as a part of their Joy of Giving week.
It was powerful to see parents of the students walking hand in hand to support and encourage their kid’s act of kindness.
Around 25 students with mentors, support staff and parents took part in the activity. After rag-picking experience, there was an interaction session with the sisters. It was deep and respectful for the sisters.
Finally, it was breakfast time after 2hrs of long physical and mental exercise.
This is where kids planned something which simply brought us to tears. Along-with other snacks, each of them made delicious handmade coconut laddoos (Indian Sweet) for the sisters and served them with love & utmost respect. They took the efforts to learn this art of making laddoos from the grandmother of one of them. It was very powerful and deep moment for one and all.
We hope that we keep sharing our love and admiration by humble gestures such as these.
