Keeping this as a philosophy in our service journey, this fortnight was immensely satisfying witnessing the overall progress due to contribution of every single stakeholder of Paryavaran Mitra.
Continuing our emphasis on improving the experience of waste collection on road, we distributed the safety kit (masks & gloves) for 4th time in last 6months in the hope of seeing some of our sisters actually using it. This being a behavioral change, it takes time and constant encouragement.
We also had an intense brainstorming session with the board members as we are on the verge of starting our 4th center. Since, this is likely to the 1st center where we would be actually doing recycling and composting at our facility, both our board members as well as on-ground team are thrilled. It was simply amazing to see how each of our board members took a specific role to play in the successful implementation of this new center. We are also envisioning the possibility of actually running this center on micro-entrepreneurship model where our sisters will be the owners of the center and we will just be the facilitators.
The Saturday Special event organised at Manav Sadhna was nothing less than a laughter riot where Mehulbhai and his team did some humorous plays. Everyone in the audience was simply mesmerized
Alongside, we are continuously making efforts to get more institutions on board with us where we can give Solid Waste Management as a service to them. Hope to see couple more organisation soon associated with us
