This fortnight we had the realization of this simple but powerful quote. Amidst continuous community issues hindering our work, we kept sailing with the same motivation and enthusiasm.
At the awareness front, we restarted our activities with Riverside School wherein we took a session on waste management and its related challenges. It was followed by students coming to our center and actually helping our sisters to understand their hurdles and witness their life closely.
On the health and hygiene aspect, we took our sisters to Karnavati Dental Hospital who needed immediate attention based on the dental camp we organized last fortnight. Also, safety kits (masks/gloves) were distributed to ensure safer collection process at-least in current monsoon period. An awareness session on Water borne diseases and safety measures was also organised as water logging is common in our communities.
As Paryavaran Mitra uses Solid Waste Management business as a tool to empower the sisters, it is imperative to make continuous progress on business side as well. We feel excited to bring Radisson blu hotel on board with us ensuring better sustainability as they generously agreed to donate their dry recyclables to us.
So, it was a really powerful week with loads of ups & downs but the team proved that we are ready for anything coming our way given we have love and blessings of you all.
